“Cushing’s Best Tradition: Teachers“ is the subject of the archival display case just outside the library entrance. Featured alongside quotes from the Frank Prentice Rand’s history of Cushing Academy and the Penguin, are pictures of faculty members from the past and present. This array of photographs is an entertaining way to tell the success of Cushing with pictures of teachers who have devoted time and energy in teaching students and serving as role models in the Cushing Academy community. A school is just a building without dedicated and informed teachers in the classroom. Cushing’s best tradition is her teachers.
