Collaborative Lesson Plans

Collaborative Lesson Plans are curriculum materials and ideas that classroom teachers can use to teach information skills in the context of their subject areas. This list will expand as new lessons are created. The library encourages teachers to plan lessons that incorporate these important skills and is happy to collaborate with classroom teachers on such projects.

20th Century Speeches - Students learn about primary resources while researching 20th century history and culture.

Africa - Students learn effective search strategies and how to evaluate Websites while gaining an understanding of the European colonialization of Africa.

Stem Cell Debate - Students learn about the science and technology of stem cell research and the controversy surrounding it while learning to critically evaluate information.
