The Fisher-Watkins celebrates Native American Heritage Month with a display
of books in the case at the entrance of the library. November is the month
set
aside to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of people indigenous
to this country. Sources on Indian art, history and culture have been selected
from the collection to highlight the legacy of ourNative American people.
Teen Read Week
In celebration of Teen Read Week, Poetry is Slammin’ @ your Library
is the theme for the entrance display of the Fisher-Watkins Library. Books
featuring
teen poetry, poetry fiction and handbooks for poets were selected to promote
reading poetry for the fun of it.
Advertising through the Ages Advertising through the Ages is the theme for the display
case on the lower level of the library. Books on advertising
in the 40s, 50s, and 60s that were recently added to the collection
are displayed along with other sources that examine the history
and the evolution of the most powerful marketing tools in the industry.
